Delayed post yet again.

Hello again folks. I actually had an update ready to post two days ago but shit happened and I lost it.
So here's the abbreviated version minus the complaints and downbuzziness in the latter section. First of all, we went to this nice as Balinese restaurant with beautiful decor and ambience, the food was near perfect too:

The last pic above is of the 4 man band that hopped from one table to another to serenade people with songs. And yes, they do requests. Played a mean Santana tune.

I went to Melaka over the weekend , a two hour trip south of KL to my grandad's hometown. The place was HOT, far hotter than KL. 38-39 degrees C to be precise. Here be more pics, hopefully with references:

Why this photo? Look closer.

It's a KFC built into a bridge over a highway.

KFC IN A FRIKKING BRIDGE!

Open street markets:

Old historical church from Dutch colonial times.

A dragon thing that spiraled around this square.

Chicken rice balls and more:

Satay celup!

Two lion dancers visited the restaurant.

The night markets and the CNY lanterns all over the streets.

That['ll be all from me for now. Adios!

Hello again audience! Part 2

First thing's first. The reason why you don't see me in any of my pics so far is because I'm the one taking them. I'll see if I can post some pics from my mum's camera with me in them, or I could just show you guys later when I come back to NZ. Depends on how lazy I am.

This part of the update will probably be short, let's see how it goes aye?

I forgot to mention that when I went to my numerous relatives' places there was always special CNY snacks available, most importantly pineapple tarts. One aunt of mine is famous for her homemade pineapple tarts:

Drinking water in Malaysia is normally boiled water or prepackaged, hence the airline style water in this pic with YET MORE FOOD:

The food on the left is some kind of deep fried fish paste while the one on the right is grilled glutinous rice with a dry coconutty curry filling wrapped in banana leaf.

On the same day the above pic was taken my Uncle and his family who travelled to Malaysia a month before us was due to return to NZ the next day so we went together earlier that morning for breakfast. We had roti canai and some kind of yellow sticky rice with fried chicken and sambal.

okay this blog post has gotten weird since I went out for dinner halfway through writing this so I can't quite remember the structure. So I'm gonna stop chatting and just show you pic of random place from this morning's travel along with pics of my dinner tonight. You can guess what's what :p
